A Krillion game where the rare answer wins

Krillion is a trivia game built around a different question: can you name an answer that other people might overlook? Krillion is an independent, free tribute at krillion.games. You get seven daily prompts, type one answer to each, and descend through the ocean as your score grows. A familiar answer gets you started; a rare one takes you much deeper.

How this daily trivia game works

1. Read the whole prompt. After a short preview, you have 25 seconds to enter one answer that fits.
2. Find something less obvious. Accepted answers earn 10 to 100 points. If an answer is not in our bank, you can try again while time remains.
3. Watch your depth grow. Every point is worth ten meters in the daily dive. Seven perfect answers total 700 points and 7,000 meters.
4. Compare your dive. Finish all seven prompts to see your results and share a report without giving away your answers.

The daily prompts are the same for everyone playing this version. New daily dives open at midnight in America/New_York, subject to the available question packs. Day 1 is open in early access; the daily schedule begins October 1, 2026. Read the full beginner’s guide before your first dive.

When does Krillion update, and how do daily questions change?

The daily dive changes at 00:00 in New York (Eastern Time). That is 04:00 UTC during US daylight saving time and 05:00 UTC during standard time. In Beijing, the change is at 12:00 or 13:00 respectively. The next change is also shown in your device’s time zone beside the game’s start button.

Each date has its own scheduled set of seven prompts, shared by everyone. Daily play does not shuffle a new set every time you refresh. Completed days stay available in the archive with their original questions; unfinished games keep their original question deadlines.

Day 1 is available before launch and stays the same through October 1, 2026. The first different daily set arrives on October 2 at 00:00 New York time. After that, scheduled sets change each New York midnight. Refresh the page or return to the daily start screen to open the new day; an active round is not replaced while you are answering.

Daily release and question-bank expansion are separate. New question packs are prepared and published ahead of time, rather than generated at midnight. The daily schedule requires those packs to be available; the current game does not automatically loop back to the first day when the schedule runs out.

Finished today’s game? Play Krillion Unlimited for repeatable 50-question challenges. Unlimited means you can start as many runs as you like; each run still has three lives and a 50-prompt limit. There is no account requirement or payment to play either mode here.

Rarity rewards knowledge, not random guesses

An unusual answer only helps if it fits the prompt and is included in the question’s answer bank. Our rarity tiers are editorial choices, not live percentages of player responses. The familiar Plankton tier earns 10 points; Rare earns 60; Deep Cut earns 85; and One in a Krillion earns 100.
